Water Report 3/16/21

This week’s water report courtesy of our Water Committee covers ORS 537.525 (Oregon Revised Statute) which declares that water in the state of Oregon belongs to the public and contains many of the high level phrases, language and descriptions the Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) uses when reviewing water rights applications.  You can use this key terminology in correspondence and comments to OWRD.  Next week we will review the Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) used by Water Resources Department to add detail to enable them to administer the laws set by the Oregon Legislature.
